$16,350

OK so I thought that it might cost a bit to get a 10,000 Litre underground water tank installed but when the builder came back with more than double what I had thought it would cost, I was glad the sales guy prefaced the email with "I hope you are sitting down."

It looks like this will have to be yet another thing that we will have to organise ourselves.  The list is starting to get reasonably long:
  • Accurately Measuring a Tree
  • Designing a Kitchen
  • Demolition
  • Abolishment of Services
  • Borrow curtains from existing house
  • Temporary Fencing during demolition
  • Levels for council flood height determination
  • Underground Water Tank
  • Stove
  • Oven
  • Range Hood
  • Driveway
  • Curtains
  • Landscaping
  • Fencing
  • Clothesline
  • Fly Screens
  • Oh yeah and building a cubby
Oh well time to show our real project management skills, her indoors will have to dust off her Microsoft Project skills, last used to plan our wedding.

We at least now have a promise of a contract by the end of the week.  Next step negotiation and finance....
