We are getting very close to finalising tile selection, including the vanities. This is where we are at now:
The top laminex is the bench, the next will be cupoards and the bottom is the tile for the floors and walls, it comes in 400x400 which is a little larger than the standard 300x300 which we think will look a little better. (The white is just there to simulate the sink). Now all we need to do is choose a feature tile, most likely a mosaic, to go in the shower niche and for a vertical feature on the boys bath and possibly on our shower.
Nice to see things are finally moving for you, will follow now with great interest your progress on the building!!

ReplyDeleteHi pattycake4,
ReplyDeleteIt was $16,600 to change from slab to stumps.... This is what you are quoted however there are always other costs that you don't know about.
Have a look at: http://room4acubby.blogspot.com/2009/08/is-this-30m-tree.html
and: http://room4acubby.blogspot.com/2010/01/10k-extra-and-colorbond-weirdness.html
Oh yeah and that $16,600 included subfloor insulation to ensure that we met 5 star rating still. It wasn't too hard for them though given we have a 10,000L water tank, solar hot water and the alfresco side faces North which all help the star rating really well.
ReplyDeletethanks for your quick reply.sent you a message via pm.then i read your comment, sorry i am new at this
ReplyDeleteRomeo Homes need to do a course on how to treat customers & offer service. we will never reccommend this company to friends or family. we only went with this company based on their display home "the Jamieson"...from day 1 till now!...a complete mess....like the house fine...go to another builder you will regret it.....never again with an amateur company
ReplyDeletethe Contruction Manager & all his side kicks really need to look after their stakeholders..the customer.....won't be suprised if this company has 100's on complaints made against them.....my advise stay clear
