Sewerage roughed in

We're not sire when it happened but some time between the bricks arriving and the end of the ANZAC day weekend the sewersg appears to have been located in the back yard. Unfortunately this happens to have gone right through the plants that we replanted to save for our future landscaping.

Bricks Arrived

We got a call from one of our new neighbours yesterday to tell us that some bricks have been delivered.  16 and a half pallets arrived and they actually look like the right bricks.  More progress.

We are also in the process of finalising our tile selections and her indoors noticed that we had not thoroughly specified our shower.  We had told the builder that we wanted Porcher 4 function shower rails, however they had only written Porcher 4 function on the spec.  So much for double and triple checking we still managed to miss this.  We have since found that we also missed the details on our kitchen tap and our toilets.  The kitchen tap is OK because we have documentation that we sent to the builder stating what we wanted, however I think we missed the fact that there are four toilets with the same name as the one that we specified.  This should be sorted out today as her indoors wants to see what the differences between these toilets are and chose the best one.

Power Pole

We got a power pole today, this progress thing is the best surprise following all of our patience.

Set Out

I went past the site early yesterday and again there was no action.  However in the arvo her indoors and the boys went past and this is what they saw:

Notice of Commencement

On Wednesday, just before Easter we got a great letter. "Notice of Commencement"  We have finally got a start date (albeit a range).  "We will endeavour to commence work on your site between 8/4/2010 and 12/4/2010.  We also advise that your new home will be completed by 2/3/2011 based on the time period specified in Schedule 1, clause 11 or your contract."

Whoohoo site start.

Unfortunately I went past this morning just to see if they managed to get a start on the first day of the range, but nothing was happening, still we have a date to aim towards now.
